Walking Toward Your Dust

Walking Toward Your Dust

A Poem by Alfred Kukitz
"

It's the last walk in your life.

"

You find yourself meeting your feet in the middle ground. The left foot on the left side; the right foot on the right side. You may think all’s well in this position. But the step sounds a crunch in its movement. The sounds follow you in all the walk that possess your legs. It may be crunch today, a soft pedal in the coming sunlight days but that one long short walk awaits you into the darkness where feet in their proper position become the dust of your distant past.

Thank you Blake. I'd sooner have you than the last walk. You can save that for much later.
