The Dream of Wishful Thinking

The Dream of Wishful Thinking

A Poem by Alfred Kukitz
"

Facing the unpleasant can sometimes lead to escape.

"

There seems to be a lie and a grain of truth in tomorrow

You seem to sit in the couch of truth.

Like a stone that twiddled inside your bone

You rose from that seat of truth and looked into the face of a lie.

When the uglies came the shock knocked you to the couch,

Sleepy eyed, you wonder past it all and found the dream of wishful thinking.

what a powerful, thought-provoking piece you have here... I love every line and how it flows into the next... such truth and cleverly expressed... I really enjoyed this... while there is a lie and a grain of truth in tomorrow, I want to be looking that lie straight in the face with the dream of wishful thinking still bright in my heart.. well done!

Thank you so much. The scene is Green Lane Park, the frozen lake Deep Creek Lake.

Looking a lie in the face leads to finding the truth, which sets us free... Some deep thinking here, Alfred!
