Boston Sympathies

Boston Sympathies

A Poem by Alfred Kukitz
"

Murder at the Marathon

"

You could write things that really mattered,

Back yourself against a literary wall,

Make some sense out of needless killing

Destroy all compassion to those who fall.

The need arises for you fight off

The monsters that sleep inside,

Making your concerns feel the pain of the bone,

Somehow in some way take the pain

That evaded your day.
