Waters Deep

Waters Deep

A Poem by Alfred Kukitz
"

The plunge into consciousness

"

The moorings along consciousness
Tie me down.
Fickle me in seas that bleed
The anchor weighs me further down
Down down in the deep of things
Many a watery mile before
I find the keep
And sing along with waters deep.

I remember my first plunge. I found out I was a fool and knew it was time to grow up. Unfortunately Vietnam wasn't exactly a mature experience.

Your mind and thoughts, are as deep as the sea friend... it's beautiful you put the exact compactness into words here. May these thoughts anchor, and find roots... beautiful.

at first we fight it, and then we welcome the rush of those deep waters as consciousness makes us aware of whatever in life we just weren't seeing before.
i plunged into this one, and it was refreshing.
