Wishing You Were Here

Wishing You Were Here

A Poem by Alfred Kukitz
"

Foolishness pays a visit.

"

I am here to feel the wind in my ears.

I stand straight, look ahead, feel the air around me,

The words in my mouth slowly circle in an oral darkness.

They are voiced inside me like a journal entry or a secret to myself.

I turn 180 degrees, smile like the shine in the sun.

I'm lured into these ridiculous moments because I can.

I just wish you could be here with me.

Thanks Amos. It could be an exercise in mental journal keeping.

Nice words ! describing all the feeling a person has when he feels lonely and shallow inside, you did a great job ..
'I turn 180 degrees, smile like the shine in the sun.
I'm lured into these ridiculous moments because I can.'
These lines were my favourite.
It was worth a read. keep rocking.

if only that person with whom we had shared so much of life could be here to share this ridiculous moment with me...

i can still smile, i remember...we would smile together...if you were here.
