Forgotten Worlds

Forgotten Worlds

A Poem by Alfred Kukitz
"

The Middle East visits consciousness.

"

Windows have lost their conventional wisdom,

I look outside to see Syria, Iraq and Egypt.

The bullets and bombs streak by my consciousness,

Laughter has ceased everywhere you hear ears.

I am as lonely as an inmate seeking a change of clothes

For I have made the world to my liking

I have forsaken the worlds I cannot see.

This touched my heart so much. I wish there was a way to show you that a majority of our people don't want any part of this war. If you'd like to read my poem called we shall be free, I hope it would help show you our country does have compassion, just our government lacks it

I sent that poem to our House of Rep. Fitzpatrick. I like to shake up our do nothing Congress.

yes, at times we find ourselves so secluded...all we worry about or think about is what's happening in our own little culdesacs of the world...
