The OpeningA Poem by Alfred KukitzThe forces of the universe come together for all mankind .The Open was all around me. It was the first time. The thing was huge. My openness began moving all over the place. Soon the entire scene grew tenfold. I was taken! My mind grew. My heart felt like a locomotive racing at the speed of light. Wind, water, air and grace moved in two step. My groove summons me to the foreground. I ate song. The atmosphere began electric acoustics. You can never know when the Open grabs you. Elevates you to heights beyond the imagination. I was living in a kind of illusion. Open lifted the hidden lid Open arced across my eyes. The air stirred. Sounds, small voices, chorals inching toward the top of Open, Lifting the ceiling allowing more Open into the air. Illusion began to expand. Reality ebbed. The Open seem to swallow any infringement upon it's new territory. My lostness soon swirled, giving the impression I was going upward Illusion has a way with keeping you on your feet and grounds you in openness. What a way, a direction, a kind of state of being where we are altogether, The whole of humanity in the Open, living some kind of civic illusion, Moving in choral steps, tickling the atmosphere with sanity, ethics and A moral kinship of man and women. I am in the Open, fully waiting in the moment, standing as tall as I can, listening To the huge silence in the openness, I can't maintain it forever, finally falling into The sleepy torpor of man in his present state. © 2014 Alfred Kukitz |
