No Screams in the Alleyways

No Screams in the Alleyways

A Poem by Alfred Kukitz
"

Murdering visits the alleyways

"

Murdered breath
Escaping though
Dark alleyways

Evil surrounds
Your nostrils
Exhaled dirt

Light gathers
It's worst crime
A child unable to scream!

Foreboding, & dark. You step away from this poem not with any detail, but with all the horror. That last stanza, and I don't why after all it is only a poem, broke my heart.
This piece leaves you grasping for straws, AK, but at the same time wanting to get away.

Evocative, and well composed.
