Poetry in a Square

Poetry in a Square

A Poem by Alfred Kukitz
"

Their is an undercurrent flowing in the deadpan of life.

"

A round poetry in a square,

The tabloids murdering the edges.

Hypocrite after hypocrite praying for realness in their lives,

Sands pouring over the hourglass,

It's the moment you didn't know you were waiting for.

real poetry just isn't all that neat...it has frayed edges, doesn't fit in the square of life...interesting line.."hypocrite after hypocrite praying for realness in their lives"

maybe we think we are real when we aren't...and maybe our words are as shallow as the water that brushes against a beach of truth...

the moment poetry and truth collide...we find out about the real poet...even if we never realized that we have been waiting all along to do that.
