How Deep the Hero

How Deep the Hero

A Poem by Alfred Kukitz
"

I'm thinking D Day here. A grand sacrifice for freedom where my uncle lays in Normandy cemetery. Just how deep does the hero have to go in that triumphant moment?

"

How deep the hero lives in the silent cavern of his/her own making,
He or she springs from the bottomless pit of bravery,
We witness the great calamity of sacrifice and the great hope that ensues.

Thanks Kathy,

Not a day passes without thinking of the soil in which a gone hero lives.

Al

'How Deep the Hero'
Alfred Kukitz,
It is always the right time to dwell in a room of appreciation pondering what we have and why any of us anywhere have freedom at all. In your sharing the reality of the great body of bravery in all that have served anywhere in our great country comes to mind. How many of us have family, relatives..that have not only served and still are with us but those that are gone but there memory remains personally but also by the retelling within our lives. thanks for this opportunity to ponder this beauty.
Blessings,
Kathy

i like the silent cavern...real heroes don't need to tell us of their great feats or sacrifices...we recognize it without that.
