Ephemeral

Ephemeral

A Poem by Laz K.

If God is love, does

He love me as I do

Ephemeral flowers, or

Seasonal blooms?

I am but a short-lived

Splash of color, an

Oddity, a single note

In a great symphony.

Man is the only creature

That knows it ends, and

Under the weight of this

Notion he twists and bends.

We might look to trees

For a lesson in faith:

They do not doubt or

Question the rain, but

Raise their crowns high up

To the sky, stand tall and firm,

And their fate do not decry.

It’s not their place to know

Whether they shall perish in

Fire, or drought, but

To be,

To live,

To sprout.

I think you have something here, Laz. I have never heard of a tree being on valium.

To live …To be To sprout… of that I have no doubt 🙂
I love nature from the birds and the bees to the rivers and trees .
Determined to thrive.
Beautifully penned my friend
