![]() Sand CityA Poem by Laz K.Though we cough and Burn, with squinted eyes We walk through fire, Press on, press on, And never tire. We pitched our tent and Set up camp on a Mountain of hopelessness, but They tell us to stay strong, And they can’t be wrong. Our hearts are fierce and Filled to the brim with pride, One day, you'll see, we’ll make an Oasis with all the tears We make each other cry. Our life is an hourglass With towering castles of Sand we make, teeming with Scorpions and poisonous snakes. Flickering neon lights Blink dumbly above, while The wind whistles a sad tune, And scatters our dreams of love. © 2025 Laz K.Reviews
