From the Sea of Sorrow

From the Sea of Sorrow

A Poem by Laz K.
"

“The tears of the world are a constant quantity.” ― Samuel Beckett, Waiting for Godot

"

Like a fish that jumps

To escape a filthy pool,

Flex your muscles,

Steel your mind, and

Do the impossible!

The salty sea you call home

Overflows with tears of

Sorrow, hurt, and pain.

Whatever the crime

We’ve been guilty of since

The beginning of time,

Let it fall, leave it behind!

Drink no more of the bitter

Waters of shame, shake off

The parasites of blame!

More than a dumb mouth, or

A pair of cold, unblinking eyes,

You, as all else, are a spark of

Divine light, whose true home is

Among the stars in the sky!

We are only here until we are not and move on to tge next level. How many levels there are or which one we are on i knoweth not, but all we can do is treat each level like it is our last and hopefully somewhere along the line some semblence of sense can be garnered from it.
If not, then theres always next level...maybe! 😀

The amount of salt in a human tear is equivalent to the same amount of salt in a drop of ocean water. Some people think that is coincidence. I have never believed in that concept. I believe everything has purpose and reason, even if we fail to see it at the moment of our experience. I can honestly say I've always been a vocal opponent of the "blame game" because it detracts from finding the solution to problems. "Scapegoats" are the devil's pets. Thoreau put it this way, "There are a thousand hacking away at the branches of evil for every ONE that is chopping at the root." I'm for digging up that root and throwing it into the fire.
