Thou Sayest

Thou Sayest

A Poem by Laz K.

When insults fly like

Arrows, know that they

Are made of ignorance, and

Truth shall be thy shield.

When the long chain of

Mockery is being forged,

Know that it is made of fear, and

Silence shall be thy strength.

When conceit turns its haughty

Back on you, know that

It is but a mask of frailty, and

Patience shall be thy reward.

Oh dear, tis said, sir, that -'to be given unwanted gifts is oft deserving of deeper thought and sensitivity of Self'! What on earth have you been doing to deserve such focus!!!

They doth sayest too much, don't they?
I've long thought that insults and mockery were ways to deflect the users inadequacies and the worst thing you can do is give them the audience that they think quite wrongly that they deserve.
Very nicely written Laz.

Those who mock others have shadows in their own attics...and bats in their belfries.
