The Blind Leading the Blind

The Blind Leading the Blind

A Poem by Laz K.
"

The faithful need no proof. Neither do the faithless.

"

The truth is a rainbow arch

Between earth and sky,

A flower in bloom that is,

But doesn’t ask “Why?”

It is something lurking locked in

The gyri and sulci, an ancient

Gordian knot in the mind.

The more it tightens,

The more you try,

The more you know,

The less you pry.

Reason commits treason

Against reason, argument

Counters argument, there’s

A flurry of flightless birds

And their useless wings flapping,

Then, a moment of silence, and

O heavens!

The sound of one hand clapping!

...

Don't you just love the moments where you can look at something beautiful and just accept it as beauty and don't feel the need for ut to be defined and catalogued in your memory as "understood?"
Wondering is the biggest wonder of all but to feel that acceptance and wonder from a childlike eye is spectacular in itself, especially as an adult with years of accumulated cynicism!
Beautifully captured thoughts Laz.

and that one hand clapping denotes truth...as much as it can knot us up, as much as we can argue it...we know in our hearts...there is no need to ask why....unless we find reason to lie.

To read and read again. Never stop searching.. even in shadows there is more truth than a mirror
