Diver

Diver

A Poem by Laz K.

Oh, the games of deception

Predators play, she and he,

Creatures of the deep in

Dark, cold, murky waters!

Fancy a game of teeter-totters?

Watch out, they bite you first,

Unless you strike first!

Oh, it hurts so good,

The way she flirts,

The way we tug and pull,

Laces, boots, pants, and shirts,

Till the truth stands naked,

Shivering, but shameless.

We dive in, even if it kills us,

But, our headlamps go dark,

We sink into a wordless silence,

Grow hard shells, retreat into

Narrow, private caves, and

Go on living in sad, watery graves.

I might be reading between the lines here, but I think the she and he of this tale are of the human variety and less of the swimming knives and sharks out without a leash type.
Now I might be quite wrong, but I have came across a lady type person or three that do enjoy the cold, dark murky waters as their uhm, Dexterina type dumping ground for their victims.
The colder they are the more it hurts, in my humble experience.
Burn every memory you have of them and one day you might even find yourself doing that thing with your face that feels really weird about now. Oh, what's it called?????
Oh yeah, smiling! 😃
