Ode to JoyA Poem by Laz K.I find your aura about me in Residues of last night’s dreams. Traces of your smell linger like That of spring flowers’ Imagined and wished for In the frigid embrace of a Bleak, black winter morn’. What you seek seeks you, and Everywhere I look I see you. A cat curls up and hugs her own Warm, invisible core, candlelight Flickers as your spirit moves Through locked window and door. The black holes of my pupils Swallow you whole, I am the vessel, you the light, Hard stone strikes flint rock, Sparks fly bright, bright, bright! © 2024 Laz K. |
