Ode to Joy

Ode to Joy

A Poem by Laz K.

I find your aura about me in

Residues of last night’s dreams.

Traces of your smell linger like

That of spring flowers’

Imagined and wished for

In the frigid embrace of a

Bleak, black winter morn’.

What you seek seeks you, and

Everywhere I look I see you.

A cat curls up and hugs her own

Warm, invisible core, candlelight

Flickers as your spirit moves

Through locked window and door.

The black holes of my pupils

Swallow you whole,

I am the vessel, you the light,

Hard stone strikes flint rock,

Sparks fly bright, bright, bright!

You are indeed a wealthy man.

Everywhere I look I see you

If her aura can brighten a cold, bleak and black winter morn, you have struck gold.

Beautiful love poetry Laz. Warms the heart.

Finding a reason that turns a bleak midwinter day into a spring like excuse for optimism is never a bad thing.
To see, smell and feel that special person around you is always a good thing snd to remained light in dark filled days are always a bonus.
Nicely penned Laz.
