MultiplicityA Poem by Laz K.A drop of water in the sea, A tiny, transparent eyeball, Lidless, restless, open to it all: The sun, as it makes its rounds Like a lord surveying his domain, His watchmen the stars Keeping vigil in his absence, The moon, with her ever-changing face, The winds whispering wonders Of the whole wide world, The pebbles at the bottom of the shallows, The sand on the beach, and in it, The footprints that are quickly erased. Mirrored in a tiny drop, Myriad lives, myriad ways, Everything comes and goes, Nothing really stays, but the Mind’s eye in the drop of the sea, And its never-ending gaze. © 2023 Laz K.Reviews
