VisitantA Poem by Laz K.He arrived: an unannounced guest, Coming silently through the door. He paused to shake my hand and, With a thud, he dropped his luggage At my feet on the cold stone floor. His hollow eyes scanned the walls; His tongue-less mouth grinned at my abode, And, though ‘twas the month of May, I tell you, in my garden it began to snow! Sweet wine to vinegar, he turned My hoarded treasures to rust, and As a bargain, he gave me fear and doubt In place of joy, peace, and trust. © 2023 Laz K.Featured Review
