Hand in HandA Poem by Laz K.The gentle waves of your waters Tickled the shores of my frigid mind till the Hard, jagged edges of reason softened, and Crumbled like a fragile sandcastle That couldn't withstand the incoming tide.
Hope hangs over the horizon like Stars on a line when I look into your eyes; There are pearls in the deep, and There are many more pearls in your smile. In search of such treasure I sneak out of the house, and I find you Dressed in the rays of the rising sun Warming the dark, cold waters With a shower of golden light. The world does not take lightly To such illicit joy, but, fear not, The swelling waters will erase our Footprints in the sand, as we Walk into the sunset hand in hand. © 2022 Laz K.Featured Review
