BountyA Poem by Laz K.Where your treasure is, there will your heart be alsoChildren’s
books speak of Priceless
treasures, far way lands, Daring
adventures, and wealth that Intoxicates
the mind with Sweet,
sensual pleasures. Many
have staked their lives, And
for these many have died, Chasing
their fool’s gold in vain, Drowning
in a sea of sorrow inside. I
set sail, too, in search of a bounty, But
found treasure of a different kind. No
gem shines as bright as My
lover’s gentle eyes; No
ruby or zephyr is a greater prize. I
sought a fortune measured in gold, But
I have found you, and I
am richer than any of whom Those
old stories are told. © 2021 Laz K.Reviews
