Evening PrayerA Poem by Laz K.When the day is done, and Eyelids fall like curtains On an eventful play, and The last lights feebly flicker And glow like distant Stars in an endless sky, I lay my mask on a pillow, and Weep like a self-blinded Oedipus, Clutching memories for a cane. Sightless though I may be, Broken, censured, and shamed, I count my blessings, and Give thanks for wisdom gained.
