Can't trust anyone who appears to be saintly. They put on airs but hold dark secrets...the gods are the ones who are most human.
I come from that tie-dye era...I get this.
Digital was not even thought of...so I got no likes, no subscribers---
but a real touch once in awhile.
Cool piece this is. Very smart writing.

That is kind of you to say...we do have a pretty time...
You have written a piece of brilliance here K. How many of us want to dazzle & amaze and how many have grown beyond that necessity to be noticed?
Your final six lines cry out to be a separate poem. I am impressed.

Hah, yeah, well, I was thinking about the nature of digital communication. Look at all of us here: we're like AI bots communicating with each other: bits and bytes of information pass between us, but are we still "human"? There's such a separation and filtering of information that it may lead to miscommunication, which takes us back to where we were: being alone.
This made me laugh way more than is healthy, then gave me a moments pause, before that quizzical look that I call question mark eyebrows, as I realised that I am guilty of it, which I only realised when I tutted to myself that I am Not the top writer my unbalanced ego demands.
If you haven't seen it yet, I would heartily recommend an episode of season 3 of black mirror called nosedive. It's about the lengths people go to for likes and "status" and shows there is always a downside too.
Now if you'll excuse me, I gotta get out of this minefield before I lose more bits of me... 💣 🤗
