Ode to Stars

I love you

Like a mortal man

Loves the undying stars

Whose tranquil stillness

Beckons him from across

A vast sea of darkness

 

Starlight grants me sight

So that I may worship

Its sidereal splendor

It is you that hold the tools

That sculpt and shape my soul

Adorning it with brilliant jewels

 

I feel you

Like bones feel the coming weather

Aching with a pain

That's strangely pleasant

I sense future storms

Brooding over an unsuspecting present

 

As morning dew trembles

On tender, pink blossoms

Promises of love, and

Delusions of lust

Tremble on your lips

Raining down on me like stardust

Beautiful poem, Laz. It's full of beautiful imagery, sentiments and truths.

As an arthritis sufferer these lines were descriptively perfect:

'I feel you
