the alchemist sonnet, by Laz K. and A. Stone

the alchemist sonnet, by Laz K. and A. Stone

A Poem by Laz K.
"

The idea for this collaborative writing piece came from Amber. She wrote the first half; I matched it as best as I could, and added my bit. It was an interesting and exciting little project.

"

one feather from his wing

white cotton, silver silk,

tired from the winter storm

looking for a better place,

looking for peace,

seeking for home;

once upon a time

the alchemist turned

an angel into a man

who wanted to paint

his whole life-story,

to live it with joy,

not just passing by.

one feather from her wing

grey-white cotton, silver silk,

tired from a pale autumn sun

looking for a better place,

looking for peace,

seeking for home.

once upon a time

the alchemist turned

an angel into a woman

who wanted to tell

her whole life-story,

to paint it with joy,

not just passing by.

two angels for lovers

two songs for one sonnet

two gems near the lyre

saving their blossoms

from white into colors

from grey-silver tones

to golden bright fire...

(to be continue, with Laz K.)

 “two angels turned lovers

playing a game of hide and seek,”

the Grand Alchemist smiled

as he sent us forth

from his Garden of Pleasures

to the Valley of Shades below

“a test of faith

and of loyalty:

can a love once perfect

in heaven endure,

take root, and blossom

on Earth?

look beyond the veil

of flesh and bone

see not with the eyes

but with your soul

and find what you once possessed:

a love as pure as snow

you shall roam the land

alone, the yearning in your hearts

shall be a compass

leading you to the golden fire

in each other’s eyes

where all shall be pure, without any guise

claim the gems

I buried inside of you

sing silent praises

of this flower and its every hue

all men on Earth are bound to die

but with a love like this

you’ll need no wings to fly!”

What a wonderful depth of emotion thunders this river! Tributaries that met, merged, and flow on and on in truly glorious words. I withdraw quietly, having intruded.. shhhhhhh .
