Wreath of WhiteA Poem by Laz K.
Spring calls me, hauls me out
From the black hole of my soul And laughs as I emerge dazed Waking slowly from hibernated dreams
Spirits whisper, speak, sing forth life Spreading their love over hillside, field and forest Spilling their seed, impregnating the land With their pulsating passion
All around me is waking, buzzing, unfolding Soft shoots are breaking through hard bark Wild flowers, innocent, delicate, and vibrant Dance entranced, swaying softly in the warm wind
If only I were a tree, and you a flower Our wintry, frozen love might be woken, Resurrected at the touch of daylight To bloom in a wreath of pure white © 2020 Laz K.Featured Review
