Secret

Secret

A Poem by Laz K.

My secret may seem dark

Viewed from the cold rock of reason

To me, it is glowing flames of fire

Crimson, warm and bright

Burning unseen, banished from

The sight of the world, whose

Feeble eyes, unaccustomed to

Such dazzling ecstasy would cry “Shame!”

We dance like naked flames

Skin on bare, burning skin

Lips on parched, thirsty lips

We flow, grow, fall into each other

Joined into one in the welcoming

Arms of desire, cloaked in new robes

Sparkling with stars of forbidden pleasure

And between the folds we disappear

Hah...well, desire is a double-edged sword...

I bet it is. The streetcar of desire ends at death. 🙃
