Change of Seasons

Change of Seasons

A Poem by Laz K.
"

Instead of chasing things, stand still and let what you desire come to you.

"

You move me

Like gentle winds

Moves ancient trees

Stroking, tickling

Ruffling, shaking

Their sullen leaves

You come and go

Whispering, whistling

Playful and free

While I stand

Rooted to the ground

A stoic, unmovable devotee

I don’t mind winter’s long sleep

Nor the cold, icy winds

That numb and freeze

For I know you will

Bring me to life with

Spring's warm breeze

Love the flow on this one. "Sullen leaves" is great, right at the start, because it sets the mood. I really enjoyed the image as well, standing immovable and being the rock while the one you love dances around you. Great piece.

Thanks JR! You get it, you get me. If you were a girl, I'd say we're soulmates...☺
