The Birthplace of Your WordsA Poem by Laz K.It's about loving, admiring, adoring a person for what they truly are, not necessarily for what they do or say.
You speak to me of Life, love, youth “Wow” I say clumsily But the truth is If you changed the subject to Cauliflowers or toothpaste I think I’d still be amazed What “wows” me is The birthplace of your words Beating behind your ribs Pulsating inside your skull Vibrating behind your lips I like heavy words that Drop to the floor with a thud They can hold a door open Like a portal between two worlds So I can travel through time and space To another dimension where I cannot stay I’m only a visitor Like a dreamer in his own recurring dream Like a child rocking back and forth Till he’s comforted Till he wakes again to the world outside With a scream © 2019 Laz K.Reviews
