The WarriorA Poem by allieverwanted"When you lose the ability to cry for what you've lost, you've lost the ability to love anything at all." ~The WarriorYou can’t test courage cautiously, but, brave warrior, I still always find myself worrying. About you, your safety body and heart. The warrior can take care of himself he doesn’t need anyone, yet I still do what I can for you; always wishing I can do more and care for you in a way you can’t do yourself. But the warrior is always on the move, always going, always alone. Something I will never understand but it’s what you want. With the little time we have, there’s never enough it trickles away into oblivion. And this is where the roles become reversed; the warrior becomes optimistic will express concern for my well being, give me tokens of hope. But the warrior cannot stay I must let go. Though I don’t have to say it I’ll speak anyway; brave, strong warrior be careful. © 2011 allieverwanted |
