The Knife and The Chopping Board.A Poem by Tinotenda NyevedzanaiPoem - ATCBored she lay there covered in crumbs, "You're lazy!" He'd yell at her Grumbling telling her to move, to do something. She could make him quite blunt sometimes. "You're so sharp with your words! I've had enough it's absurd!" He stopped chopping in shock deterred by the cheesy wooden block. "Maybe I'm a monster, thirsty for meat but we use each other you have to admit - I don't need you." "Yes you do" Whined the pine, arguing and finally beating down on the knife that always cut her, always left a mark. "You're right we use each other without you I'd have no use whatsoever and without me you'd cause more harm than good. - But that doesn't make us lovers." "Well maybe it should." © 2015 Tinotenda NyevedzanaiFeatured Review
