The Love Estimate.

Poem - ATC

We underestimate the greats, 

All of us have too high expectations

of the time wasters that let us down

then they bury their heads in the ground

But we are not supposed to laugh. 

Find it impossible to hate them.

No we are meant to allow their erratic unfair behavior,

Stand asides as they run around worked up and failing

to catch their tails, run into walls acting crazy.

They are the ones we look up to, the ones that destroy us all.

and the greats get overlooked---they are the more reserved. the noisy ones get our attention, and then we feel too compelled to follow them.

and that is why we often fumble the ball when it comes to love...

expectations usually get us into trouble.

This poem made me think of the people that I value in my life. I would say, that the "all of us" is a good hyperbole, because there are people that keep their standards and look up to the ones that they should.
