Sam The magnificent.A Poem by Tinotenda NyevedzanaiChildren's Poem - ATCSam the Magnificent -
Sam loved to catch bugs, See, Sam really hated school He couldn't stand the other kids and he was never one for "rules".
So Sam caught bugs all day Stayed off sick so he could play, But he would soon get better Back to school, Back to routine, Back to lessons.
So Sam caught the Biggest Bug that he had ever seen! It had massive mean red eyes and wings of shimmering green.
Later on that day Sams tummy was in pain Crying he lay in bed, His mummy worried felt his head, "You need to see the doctor at
once!" she said. Poorly Sam was really
scared.
"Oh my!" The Doctor gasped, "Have you been catching bugs?" He asked. Sam nodded, his throat so sore. "I promise I wont catch bugs anymore!" But the doctor had a secret of his own "I must speak to the boy alone!" He took of his disguise And to Sams surprise "You're a wizard!" he gasped Gazing into magical eyes,
Later that night Sam brewed in the
kitchen, His nervous mother stood outside the
door listening, Eventually she came inside and oh what a shock! There were vegetables of every cooking in the pot!
"I thought you hated green things!" His Mum called out
in shock, "Not all magic potions taste
good, but they certainly work!"
Sam went back to school this time
with a secret He had super strength, super hearing
and super vision! The bugs he used to catch would often
follow him But Super Sam fought back "No
not ever again!"
