And Bow.

And Bow.

A Poem by Tinotenda Nyevedzanai

Poem - ATC

"
Some music is like drinking, it consumes you.
You have no choice in the matter you might as well flow with it, let it drown down into you.
Ever so deeply.
We don't do things meekly here in The Arts yes everything has a Part to Play.
Relax. Swing and sway spinning dizzy, my disarray.
Love this.
Pore me more.
Glorify it's purified morbidity.
Don't know where you're going with this?
My Dear, but you were about ready to Perform?

I'll drink to that! Great poem.

I sometimes feel as though I melt into the songs that I listen to, that they create who I am, but not just music. I have many hobbies that make up who I am, like games and books that make me want to write my own adventures as I imagine myself as the hero, taking that one step farther than anyone else would even consider taking.

Every book a stage, every chapter an encore, every word a movement.

Music can have special effect on a person that nothing else seems to
be able to match. Cheers.

I liked the poem. Left the reader with something to think about. The good description led the reader to the questions at the end. Thank you for sharing the excellent poetry.

You are welcome. I enjoy your poetry and thoughts.
Take a bow indeed, Ally! This poem is very good... and true! I love the analogy between music and drinking. This gave the overall feeling of pleasant intoxication to the poem, which is not a bad feeling at all! The poem is very different than anything I have ever read. You are truly a gifted poet! This poem does not have the hidden meaning that your other ones do, but it is very good to say the least. Thanks for sharing it!
