Secrets

Secrets

A Poem by Alissa

It is hidden deep inside of me,

twisting and turning into my soul,

Growing roots to become a tree,

slowly tightening its hold.

Filling me to the brim,

truth spills over the edge,

so that all left in me is dim,

pushing me to the very edge.

Eyes are a channel to the being,

able to show who is evil or decent,

there is no truth here to be seen,

only the everlasting secrets.
