One Wrong Move

One Wrong Move

A Poem by lissa3333333

Ahhhhhhhhh!

A spine chilling scream

heard not to far behind.

It's exactly midnight

on a cool October night.

To stay, to move,

oh where to go?
It's dark and damp

and fog 's all around.

Can't be seen, but

can be heard.

To escape or be prey

to the killer's hands?

Fate tested,

chances questioned.

There is no easy way.

One wrong move,

one wrong choice.

Then gone without

a chance at life.

I feel a presence

coming closer.

Must make a decision,

no delay.

It's now or never,

no time to ponder.

I begin to move,

but then I'm caught.

I'm pulled inward

and begin to shriek.

Then one slit -

Silence.

Death awaits.
