Reflection

I stare into the depths of you soul.
I know each imperfection,
each flaw, each fault.
I stare you down
and tear you apart.
I crush all confidence
and destroy all dreams. -
This can be changed,
but first you must see. -
See past the bad
and see the good.
I'm only a reflection
of what you see.
A distorted reality
set on by society.
You are stronger
and more beautiful
than you will ever know.
Stare back at me
and see your real reflection.
Throw away your doubts,
look at me and say:
"I'm beautiful".
And believe it with your heart.
Because my dear -
it's the truth,
the real reality.
So lift your head up high
and let your beauty,
both in and out,
shine bright without care.
