Their love died
In their hearts
Their love full of lies
Broken to shards

It was for the best
They told each other
And so they left
And never got back together

Yet one was wistful
The other sad
She became listless
He lost all he had

They both traveled
Long and wide
To escape their memories
To run and hide

When they started to fade
They had each other on their minds
Love was an unfair trade
They both realized

Love can quickly fade
So take your chances and pull them in
Closer than enemies
And even friends

And let it shine
And never let it dim
Because love is precious
