Perfect Fairytale

 

I dreamed of having a perfect fairytale

You as the prince

And I as the princess

Everything was suppose to be perfect

Everything was all planned up

Until reality came into a stop

And ruined it all.

 

The night I saw you

I was quickly mesmerized

The way you look, the way you walk,

The way you talk, the way you laugh,

You made my heart beat faster.

I never thought the day I always dreamt of

Could possibly happen.

 

People were dancing close

As the lights started to dim,

I was sitting with my friends

Waiting for you to notice me.

I flickered to you every five seconds

And hope for a chance that you’ll look at me too.

 

A few dances were done,

But I still hoped for you to ask me

Just one touch of your hand

And I'd be in heaven.

 

As the last dance was said,

I sat down quietly

And waited for only a miracle could do.

Everything was not in place

You’re dancing with another girl

 

As I sat down thinking what

Could have I done wrong.

But then again,

There is really no perfect fairytale

In the world of reality.

We must create the fairytale. Woman have the power to turn a man head and his mind if they desire. A very good poem. Life seem unfair but we must enter the dance to be able to celebrate. A excellent poem.
