BeginningA Poem by alishaEvery beginning scares me, Every foreign touch shakes me, Every breath is calculated for me. Every step of my time is looked at carefully, Every move of mine is controlled. I want to fly To let my wings feel the touch of the wind, Of the freedom that awaits me Since I was just a little girl. I want to leave the desire to taste the forbidden fruit Let my heart devour, Of the eternal fire that lives deep within me. On the red sky dripps fragile tears That break when they touch the ground Cold and wet from lost love. Trees bend because of the weight The soul I carry with me Every step of the way. A bird crosses the horizon, The sign I've been waiting for For so long. © 2022 alishaFeatured Review
