the suddenness of your departure changed my life, left me blindsided I had gotten used to the idea of me and you left now with this sadness draped along my sleeve with multi-stranded reasons tipping over out of the blue
the lamp at the end of the hallway flickered, and for a brief moment you were here again and we were as good as new, shadows on the wall stopped spinning passing by quietly without a sound. your face flashed across what was left of my mind and I knew I would love you forever
all roads lead to somewhere falling into their own world destinations complete and yet, here I am at the door of mass confusion attempting to understand these misbegotten reasons unyielding, still trying to believe...
Line four:
"Left now with this sadness draped along my sleeve"
This reminded of the commitment of love..when one 'wears their heart upon there sleeve. This love's unflagging nature to still 'hang on' somehow.
Then lines seven,eight, nine:
'the lamp at the end of the hallway
flickered and for a brief moment
you were here again.'
Trully a heart which does not let go so easily.
Last line:
"these misbegotten reasons unyielding,
still trying to believe..."
A beautiful one.

~ ah... what you articulate with such poetic precision in a voice as vulnerable as it is strong triggers so many memories that i think i'll be thinking about your words for a long time... ~ intense piece... very vivid... with very, very striking imagery...
Ahhh!..Seems when you let it out it pulls us in, I love this one. Feels real and taunting like I can hear your feet pounding at the dusty soil. Good stance and deeper passion.
