Sometimes in the Night Season

there are those moments

after a chaotic, hectic whirlwind,

after pressing your way homeward

everything upended,

nothing went right,

and all you can think of 

is getting back

reaching that place 

where memories linger

laughter awaits,

and joy breathes a sigh of relief when you walk in

and my world is right again...

After a long, tiring, chaotic journey/adventure, it sure does feel good to be home again. This is a wonderful feeling that I have experienced many times. This is also a wonderful poem painting that feeling with words.

the world is so out of whack....sometimes memories are all we can hang onto that make sense.
Love the wording of this piece...wanting to get back to that place...and straying so far away for so long, we often forget where that place is located.
