Unexplainable

I waited here on the other side of expectant

while minutes fled into somewhere unknown

as you drove away into oblivion

and I,

looked around for possible signs of rejuvenation

before making my way back home

it's not everyday we can blend

decades and months and weeks of conjecture

around the what if's 

should of's, would of's 

and could've

is there even a millisecond that can proclaim

manifestation

beyond the test of time

without stumbling 

fumbling

inside a richochet shell?

and emerging ...

unrecognizable

scary as hell
