Once Again

there was a time and place for you and me

in a season far removed from this chaos

faceless souls saunter along

hat in hand

loafers lazing 'round the backtrack

those with smiles kept on smiling

madness made the others boil

against imaginary foes who laughed and ran

we knew what we knew

no pounding sand

no one could match the fire you brought

how could they even try

utter blissfulness 

even when we fought

standing on disjointed shores

we gaze upon the stars to see

exploring possibilities

one day

again,

you and me...

this is so relatable...i have been in chaotic relationships...but maybe that was the draw...after they were over...peace seemed a bit overrated.
