Vaulted

Vaulted

A Poem by Alisa Js

the magnitude of your attitude left me without
twenty seconds of stratosphere
before I could manage to restart my heart
alongside the outer realm of anything we'd ever known

it wasn't easy to believe
and maybe I didn't hear when the words changed
choosing instead to foolishly see
dancing shadows of happy memories

laughing now as they lay dying
around the total scope of everything
inside this emptiness
fueling your desire to be free

how can we go from here...

You are welcome dear Alisa. We can overcome a lot my friend.
It is funny how love can suddenly change. I feel the devastation and disbelief in your poem. How can we go from here? well, life just keeps going, so I suppose one just has to pick oneself up, dust oneself down, and keep going too!

Thank you for your comments and time. I agree completely and will be by soon
Hard to know where to go when a romance so swift and unexpected sweeps one quite literally off ones feet!

Poetic pukka, real and uncompromising!
