This is I think the most succinct, but encompassing poems I have read of yours so far. I think it far surpasses the specific intention; the loss because of doubt, still far reaching faith if only in fantasy.

this is absolutely first-rate - the lover missing out on true love - he could have been the one, but unfortunately, the lover failed in some way to sustain the love for her beloved - and she is full of regret, but there is nothing she can do but dream about what could have been

Thank you so much for your most insightful comments! I will be by soon.
love has no inner clock, it carries on and on, ticks in seasons. My favorite part :
we find ourselves here
against the wall
behind the lives
we never made
instead, they fill our dream state
I meet you there
you're never late,
and together
we chase the sun
-- ohhhh... the closing is absolutely stunning... -- for me, this poem is about acknowledging that which we must as a necessary step before moving on... and that is a powerful insight into the human psyche, alisa... because most of the times we tend to struggle as we try to deny what we absolutely must not deny... -- or, maybe this is just my perspective... -- regardless, this was a fabulous read... -- it's heartbreaking and moving poetry and yet it leads one to open doors rather than locked ones...
