BetrayalA Poem by Alisa Js
why follow me
lingering elements of betrayal... I remember repeating vows in front of witnesses to honor and cherish, till death do us part no others. this commitment, a promise letters arrived from her addressed to you opening them, my heart splintered and fell to the floor slashed by each intimate phrase I read revealing no commitment, no promise his smile was contagious his energy on fire who could resist 'I love you', he said only you, always you she was only four foot, eleven a tiny, little thing living doll in my bed in my car three won't work in this space... this project was sure to inspire thousands of lives would change for the better, we spent time believing spent time in building so close to completion hold fast and don't stop... she was decades younger and light years ahead he fell like an old fool and threw away the key betrayal commitment, no more...
