behind all the chatter

next to a silent prayer

but until now,

refused to believe we could be

far from possession's hand

malignant's niece

away from dissension's fears

circles of madness enclose

where is the freedom once promised

and seen, or was that merely a mirage

in some twisted and psychotic dream

I have sojourned for more than I bargained for

can't bring myself to stop

this journey is taxing and cold

Is there a nice way of putting the phrase 'tempting fate' - because I know that particular phrase has negative connotations - people say when they think your taking an ill-advised risk "Oh you are tempting fate, aren't you?" - but what if we wish to tempt it in a good way. Is it just wishing?
I believe that some wishes can come true and I hope this one works out. Thanks for the sharing Alisa. Get the guest room ready lol.

Great romantic minds do think alike! Somewhere in Time is my all time favorite film as well...

Love, love, love the story line and how passionate they were for each other and only each other...

*sigh*

I am inclined to believe that you can tempt fate in a positive way.... as your world is actually a reflection of yourself, when you really think about it...it's all about perception and intention...

If a person is coming from a positive and sincere place, emotionally speaking and walking in that truth, doesn't it stand to reason that sincerity and positive energy would be what you attract as well???

Some thoughts for what they're worth.

That prayer of hope that we all have made, that the one we love feels the same way, does not always end up quite the way we envisioned. I think even successful and happy relationships go through stages in which the bloom is off the rose for a short time. Second thoughts race between synapses, firing charges into what we know is our soul, as if to say, "the heart may be wrong, can soulful you fix this snag?" Your plaintive "Won't you walk by my side, step into my world" will jog the memories of so many other readers who, like me, have reached that point where a plea is made, we hope not in vain.
