A Poem by Alisa Js

the angle of the outburst was of particular interest
sudden.
sharp.
thrusting upward and then turning around
blasting through unexpected and unannounced fields
butterflies wrangled for breakfast and cheese

walking back to my seat, I fell down

letters for lunch
choices for a lifetime
no one tells you they could be the wrong ones
would you have listened
would you have dared?

curious, I looked back and wondered
the I-9 went south and not west as I recall
candy was sweet
roses were red after all...

:: beautiful work... :: very few people have the ability to see what maestro ed aptly describes as "the unadorned truth"... our vision and perspective is invariably diluted by some perception or rather misconception... learning how to see life as it is and taking the right decision is a daunting task... we're always trying... :: this poem talks to me at many levels... :: and... i love the image of the butterflies... that's exactly what we do to them... i so wish we didn't... but then we're human... we have to err...

:: you're very welcome, sweet alisa... :)
even when those were telling me i was making the wrong choices...i still went my way...sometimes the choices ended up surprisingly good...other times...well those roses weren't so red.

damn this is a good poem...one of my favorites in a long while on WC...it is just perfectly abstract enough...that i brought my own brown bag lunch and sat with my own interpretation eating up the words.
