During times like these I find the same questions rising from somewhere beyond...
How is it that some lives are seemingly without incident or any type of adversity? Smooth sailing for all participants?
While others are filled with one crisis after another, relentlessly? It never seems to get better for the second group.
Why?
Is the answer found in careful planning at an early age?
Is there really something called, 'luck' or rather does one create their own 'luck' from wise choices made?
If one is not born into the ideal living situation, can they, by themselves make it into a higher functional arena, or do they need help? And if the answer is help, what kind of help? What is help and what is enabling?
For those whose lives are seemingly perfect, would a study of those perfect lives provide clues for others?
Would those same clues be applicable for everyone who took the time to study or pass incoherently through those same minds?
Or does it all boil down to perception at the end of the day?
:: i'd like to think that the progress we make at the end of the day is about the intensity of conviction in our voice... that conviction (unfortunately) is born in our ability to triumph over adversity... those who haven't been through the kind of adversity that some others have don't have that same conviction when they speak about transcending pain... although pain and adversity are damaging, they can be steered into serving as fuel for creation... and that too creation not for the sake of creativity but creation that somehow validates the rivers of justice in the universe... (as in the rivers and forces that ensure that the truth prevails)... i'm struggling to have a life and i know that i'll need to struggle for maybe many more months (and i have been struggling since some years now)... but i also know that the price i pay is for the purity of the path that i have chosen... i don't enjoy paying the price but i can't compromise on the purity... and here purity is not an abstract concept... it's as simple as knowing that the means as well as the end are pure... what would be enabling and is always enabling is that beautiful steroid called love... it has no side-effects... and is as precious from any source... friend, family, soul-mate... :: just my thoughts after reading your rather profound foray into existentialist queries of a very enriching nature... thank you for making me think... :)

When one has gone through any degree of challenges in life, I am of the opinion that challenge will in some cases allow that one to have more empathy and consideration for others. However, that being said, sometimes challenges will bear the fruit of bitterness in those it visits.
It's hard to say, really as life and life experiences are best comprehended when viewed through the perception of a soul...yet, as life experiences go, in an of themselves they are without understanding or emotional weight.

I know of people who have reacted in vastly different ways to emotional challenges including abuse. There are those who will rise above the darkness by some inner fortitude they possess and become examples of great understanding and compassion.
Then, there are others, who go in the opposite direction, becoming bitter and hardened as the years progress. Sadly, their whole outlook is tainted as a result.
Then, there are those who may initially appear to be compassionate, caring and very thoughtful. Yet, as time progresses, agendas manifest from these same ones that are anything but compassionate, caring or thoughtful. Are those people evil? Bad? or simply selfish ... operating from a selfish and self-serving point of view... borne out of ignorance?
I wonder.

This new journal style is interesting. I am curious as to where it shall lead. Poetry and journal .....questions of a tortured soul. Throw a salmon in there once and while to keep the reader's eye. Or maybe you just keep on keeping on cause it's getting good as always!! A type of anaphora in painful wall~
